Tried to skip to the bit in your thumbnail about, “the Iraq war.” Couldn’t find it. A bunch of retrospective irrelevance about Brexit: a topic over which Blair has no influence. The quote is there, but it was actually brushed over as being in the context of the Brexit debate. Shame to have wasted all that time being played by a politician, who gets away with generalisms, platitudes and a talk about the process of decision making and various points of view. A real disappointment, which is rare for this journalist. On what basis DID you make the decision to back USA’s invasion of Iraq? Where WAS your information coming from? Did you listen AT ALL to the critics? What WAS your reaction to the suicide of an expert who lied for you? What ARE your regrets? Do you REALLY believe you could survive an independent tribunal? Do you CARE about the hundreds of thousands of dead in your wake? I could go on and on with more worthwhile questions. I sure would not have mislead my audience with this thumbnail.
