Netanyahu is facing a landslide election against him and criminal charges as soon as that war ends. Yet Israelis are content to leave the man with a vested interest in continuing a war that he has always loudly wanted throughout his entire military and political career in charge of things. I’m not looking for hope in that direction. Just as I’m not looking for Christian values from our government. We have a government which has consistently demonstrated that they do not even grasp the fundamentals of the concept of decency, fairness or honesty. I look to the electorate in countries around the world in our remaining democracies as our last, best hope.
