I’m saddened greatly. He just seemed like he would keep going forever. He gave a strangely moving performance in Ad Astra, which stayed with me due to its themes and the recent loss of my own father at the time. Have been a fan since the 1970’s, when I was wee. His version of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers was one of the first ever colour films I remember seeing on our new TV set, when colour TV’s were still relatively newish. Part of the landscape of my movie going life since I can remember. Such a loss to the arts.
