  1. It strikes me that all ministers are hitting the ground running. And all of them plan to show us the warts and all facts about what the Tories have really been up to, behind closed doors, with each of their departments. You can bet that the NHS review will lead to a lot of Tory minister (both former and current) being hauled over the coals by committees. Perhaps even legal proceedings?

Streeting knows that saving the NHS from the stealth privatisation and outright sabotage of the Tories (so they could sell us complete privatisation as some kind of, “rescue plan”) will need to be explained to the public, as we will have to dig deep in our pockets and be patient waiting for meaningful results. To be quite frank, all major departments will need root and branch reform. And comprehensive reviews are a smart move, as the media will be filled with evidence of what the Tories were really up to behind closed doors, and subsequent committees will haul them over the coals. And this will be better than letting the Tories get away with their usual playbook of screaming, “Oh look how expensive Labour’s plans are!” and, “We’re still waiting for results!” in every client media outlet. Expose them for what they did and show the public how it was a deliberate plan to sabotage the NHS so as to force us into a private, Americanised, “service,” that makes Tory friends and families rich . . . again! Go for it, Wes!

  3. That’s a great start, as Streeting will have to show the public where all their money is going and why it will take so long and be so expensive to right the ship. The Tories’ plan was to deliberately run the NHS into the ground, so as to sell the idea of privatisation to voters as a way of saving it, whilst stealth-privatising all the rest. Our local GP practice has just sent us all letters announcing their closure! No one knows what comes next. Not even the NHS, who tell us they are holding meetings. Don’t even know what that means.
