I cannot say for certain, but my gut tells me that most of the nation is deeply alarmed by Tory racism and using the most vulnerable humans on Earth as their pawns in a deeply cynical, sinister attempt at rallying the most ignorant and far right wing to their standard. God forbid they should appeal to thinking people, as those voters are, by definition, beyond their reach now. Sacking Cruella would be a start, but how could they ever erase their own financial incompetence and self dealing without erasing their leadership? I suspect that there are many Tories who are looking forward to a period in the wilderness, from which to build their own, new brands of conservatism and promote their own careers? So long as they protect their own jobs, of course . . .
