Correction: Russia never, “thought western special services were behind this election,” (the 2010 presidential election) but Putin acted like that was what he thought, because he wanted someone to blame and being in control of the, “narrative,” matters more to him than anything else. Blaming the west is the default position for Putin, made easier for him by the fact that Eastern Europe wants to ally itself with the west, so they can’t be victimised by Putin anymore. It’s important to make these distinctions. Russia never, “thinks,” anything. They, “say,” all kinds of things, but never the truth and NEVER what they think.

I really enjoyed this video, thank you, and found it genuinely educational and informative. So, I hope you would take a little constructive criticism?
The word, “perestroika,” is defined in English as, “Reconstruction.” It would have been helpful to give that definition and it feels like an oversight that you didn’t.
Please, PLEASE, stop breaking off from the narrative to nag us repeatedly to, “click that like button,” etc? It’s as off putting as the ad breaks are, interrupting the flow and it’s irritating to the viewer. Ask once at the end, please? If you really feel you must ask at the beginning, you can’t blame people for feeling there’s something a bit shady about that, as they cannot possibly validate a video they haven’t yet watched. You must be losing as many thumbsups as you gain by what comes off as annoying nagging? I have no data to back that up, but I feel sure I can’t be alone in my exasperation?
And that’s a terrible shame, because you have an otherwise excellent format of rapid information, arresting visuals (if slightly too rapid for a perfect edit at times, like when that shot of Gorbachev meeting Reagan lasted about one third of a second and came off more as a subliminal, “blip-vert,” than a visual enhancement?) and a perfectly pitched tone of seriousness with just a touch of wry humour here and there, appealing to the educated viewers.
I do love this channel, which is why I care enough to make such a long comment. I think could genuinely improve with just a few small tweaks that should cost little to nothing . . .
But, my sincere thanks for a great video, regardless of my going on too long about how you could improve it. ✌️👍

As I said above, I don’t think Ukraine even wants that. Ideally, they would want a buffer zone, about 50 km to 100 km deep, along the whole border. So, if Ukraine just kept moving east and south, they may be able penetrate Belgorod, creating that very, “pincer,” of which you speak, against the Russians.

Perhaps YouTube is disconcerted by the way you speak of yourself as an individual, despite several different voices narrating these videos? In your recent Prigozhin video you said you were, “resting your voice,” but you are back, while your colleague is still doing Russia videos? You are not being forthright with us, and that makes people suspicious. I don’t want to be suspicious of you, which is why I have commented about this issue more than once now. Hoping for a response, at least a general response, telling us who you really are, how many you are, and what your objectives are. You are not what you seem. That much is clear.

If we’re talking about history, we should remember Russia’s BIGGEST DEFEAT of the entire Cold War: The Cuban Missile Crisis. That was a literal face off between Moscow and Washington that was set to result in the world’s nuclear annihilation. And it was Russia who backed down. They lost that face off comprehensively, yet the country carried on with, “business as usual,” and the Russian people barely blinked when their leader, Nikita Khrushchev was suddenly and swiftly replaced.
My point here is that this is NOT the, “Russia has to win and has no way to back down,” situation that they want you to think it is. PUTIN has no way to back down and losing Ukraine would ruin HIM, but NOT Russia. Russia would not just be, “fine,” if they left Ukraine, they would be better off!
And Russia has a long, long history of changing leaders behind closed doors. We HAVE TO break this narrative that Russia can’t afford to lose face and forcing them to do so may result In Armageddon! Ukraine has repeatedly PROVED that Putin’s, “red lines,” are MEANINGLESS. The country simply will NOT follow Putin into their own annihilation!
In the end, IF Ukraine is ever allowed to use its donated weapons as THEY see fit and given PERMISSION to WIN this war, it would be the end of Putin, NOT Russia.
Russia would get the chance to reset relations with the west, get sanctions relief and withdraw from Ukraine.
