  6. ErroneousClique : Imagine you bought a car, and had to make payments on it, over the course of a year, say? Imagine, after you get the car home, you find a letter on your doorstep, telling you that your first payment was insufficient, and they’re threatening a repo? A couple of calls later, you discover your contract now belongs to a different sales company, the terms and conditions of your contract are completely different, and the ONLY thing that’s iron clad about it, is your signature, meaning you either do it their way, or lose your car? And, if their way was the PRECISE way that you DIDN’T want to do it, which was WHY you signed up to the deal you, “thought,” you had, what will you do? I’ll tell you what you’ll do. Absolutely NOTHING. Because there’s NOTHING you can do. That’s why it matters. This may be a considerably scaled down analogy (just a game), but with so MANY customers, the financial rewards for such a scam, work on a truly massive scale. It’s a con. People deliberately AVOID certain platforms, because they make REAL, FINANCIAL, DIFFERENCES to terms and conditions, where the game you, “thought,” you owned becomes impossible to play, unless you pay REAL money for the, “Surprise Mechanics.” That which you wanted to avoid, and which you KNOW the company you thought you were buying from does NOT do, becomes the only reality. I agreed with your latter points. But, your opening point overlooks all of that. It’s a serious con, which will hurt the industry, because people will refuse to pre-order, and many will hold off buying games at all, until they’ve been going long enough for people to be sure there are no shenanigans going on. It matters a great deal, my friend ✌️
