Upper Echelon Gamers : I am forced to disagree, fundamentally. I don’t feel, “outrage,” just disappointment. I’m glad there’s no real effect on the game content, but in the end, they capitulated and that’s enough. Now, the, “SJW’s,” or whatever you like to call them, have blood in the water, the sharks will circle in from a far wider circumference than they otherwise would have. Like all Appeasement, the Appeaser thinks this is what they have to do to shut up their opponents, so they can move on; whereas, what they’ve done is encourage more people to push harder, until they find where the boundary really is. Not only will their critics redouble their efforts now, but they will be encouraged to push at the boundaries of other games. Why wouldn’t they? After all, it works . . .
I’m not even guessing, here, either. I will be proved right. It’s just a matter of time. CD Project Red should have acted like they had no idea what the Criticism was all about, and said, “We’ll deal with critics, after the game is released. Until then, no one is qualified to have an opinion, other than the publishers and creators. And, they never should have given in . . .
