They may, “sound,” like the same points, but they do follow developments. The underlying truth does not change.

Gen Hodges is absolutely right. The nuclear threat from Putin is all psychological warfare and nothing else. All of Ukraine’s western allies, not just the USA, need to declare we will except nothing less than Ukraine’s total victory.

@laurentTru7450 : You clearly don’t know anything about how war works. Generals haven’t served on the front lines since the 19th Century, madam. You think you’re more qualified? From your mother’s arm chair?

Do not mistake Gen Hodges’ optimism for naivety. It is actually the pessimists who are naive in this situation, since they’ve seen the might of the Russian war machine being pushed back from the outskirts of Kyiv before all of the western support began pouring in. I’d take the optimism of the experienced general who used to run NATO in Europe, over the pessimism of a political hack any day of the week, and twice on weekends.
