@thomasweir2834 : All the more need for radical legislation then, right? When I was a kid, I read a short story, about the invention of teleportation and public access. In the end, they had to take it away from the people, because of a riot. People kept jumping the riot to pre-agreed spots all over the globe, preventing law enforcement from bringing them under control, until weeks had passed, until they shut the system down altogether. Now, I’m not suggesting we do that with the internet, but what we’re seeing here is a RIOT, being orchestrated by America’s enemies, usually pretending to Americans, and keeping it live and moving, because there’s no choke point on the planet! What we CAN do, however, is make it an easily prosecutable CRIME to broadcast LIES under the guise of, “news.” Sure, the chaos will go on regardless. But, the big corporations, like F*x, RT, etc, would be put out of business, or forced to clean up their act!
When it comes to otherwise, “normal,” people, volunteering their lives to this Cult, knowing most of it is fake, that’s the consequence of an unfocused life, with too many luxuries and not enough hardship, or work ethic, to earn those luxuries. People with too much free time, caught up in nut jobbery, which becomes a focus for their hatreds, which can always be fuelled a little more, by people who hate America. It’s not the lies of your own cult that bothers you, (the rhetorical, “you,” of course) it’s the hatred of the, “other,” that drives you. I can think of several solutions (potentially) but, the biggest thing, right now, is the EXAMPLE that the government sets. If people are given HUGE sentences, shamed and humiliated; if the politicians and media types who created this mess, and fuelled it, as it occurred (looking at you, Ted Cruz) are PUNISHED, then people will start to get it.
Remember, “Loose Lips Sink Ships,” for example? The popular view that to talk down, or against Democracy was inherently, “bad,” and that, to do so made YOU the enemy of America? We need a revival of that kind of Patriotism. People are dying, and it’s went too far at Charlottesville! Time we outlawed, “news,” that isn’t news?
