Kanfachan : I know. I’ll take the risk sharing with you that I lived in such an abusive marriage, and once, when I called the cops, they arrested me! I was let go without charges, once the surgeon arrived and made the observation that she had not one mark on her, while I was covered in bruises and had my own blood all over my T Shirt. And, making a complaint turned out to be useless, as they were all in the same Masonic Lodge. This was before I moved to America, and lived in the South of England. She left me, shortly after screwing around on me, and I was left in need of therapy. And, I lost friendships, with people who struggled to believe that a woman who weighed precisely half of my 6 feet 3 inches bulk, and who behaved SO WELL around them, could possibly do such a thing, despite the fact that I permanently looked like I’d lost in the ring to Mike Tyson, every day, while she always looked fresh and happy as a tiny daisy. I nearly killed myself. Instead, I found Jesus. Not joking. But, I’m not here to evangelise. If you’re still with me, this next bit is for you.
Yes, that happens, exactly as you say. But, LOOK at what actually HAPPENED in that video? She was sat in a car, trapped, in a confined space, with no defence. She was much smaller than him, and he was confident enough to keep going back for more. Whatever wrongs SOME women do, they are, by and large, incapable of the violence that men are designed by evolution to commit. That’s just science. They weigh less, they are poorly designed for fighting, (which is why they always look so ridiculous doing it, btw!) and in 9 cases out of 10, they simply don’t stand a chance. But, more importantly, you have probably noticed that most people, however mad they get, won’t start swinging, unless they’re certain that they won’t lose the fight; which is already an act of cowardice. If you check my comment, I didn’t state that it was the mere fact of her womanhood that made this so bad (though, in truth, a man should never hit a woman) but, it was her being trapped, in a hopeless position, and his repeated assaults that made me want to slap him.
You don’t ever hit a woman, for the practical reason that any decent people will ostracise you, and it will stain your reputation, possibly for life, and maybe even your record, making gainful employment harder. But, you never hit a woman, because only cowards do that, even when she’s hitting you. Get away from her and stay away, and never be around her again without witnesses. I’m an old fashioned guy too, and I will be called sexist for this, and lose any support I may have had, but I’ll say it anyway, out of a desire to be perfectly honest with you. I also believe that a REAL MAN just won’t do that. Once you’re hitting a woman, you’ve stopped being a man, but that’s just my own personal.
Now, if you’ve been patient enough to follow all that, thank you. If you have any questions, fire away. But, tell me? Are you at all persuaded? . . . ✌️

ParadymShift Music : Pretty sure, waving your arms without due care and attention ain’t a crime, son? Trying to get the attention of the police is still legal too, I think? Still, he is a bit, “brown,” to be exercising his rights like that, these days? So, yeah, they may have just murdered him, for sport?

I just feel terrible for everyone involved. I think your analysis was spot on, and I hope these guys can learn from this. If anything, the officer’s tears do him credit. It was handled really badly, from the point of the first physical attempt to subdue him. As you said, that was the make or break point at which they should never have backed off. That third deputy, flying in with violence, without pausing to, “read the room,” made things far worse, ensuring there was no way for anyone to back down and YET AGAIN giving up the struggle instead of forcing the man into cuffs.
They did do a pretty good job up until that first physical escalation, but cops who don’t know what to do when things go wrong are clearly dangerous. I believe the shooting officer wouldn’t have drawn his weapon, had the third guy not drawn his and escalated things. He was following that guy’s lead, since he didn’t know what to do himself.
A bad day for all concerned and I’m equally sorry for all of them.
