The result can only be the same as all prohibitions. Emulators will not disappear. They will simply exist outside of all legal structures and controls. So, we end up with a giant Wild West, in which people who would never think of themselves as criminals will grow comfortable with the Pirate tag and be encouraged into further piracy and possibly other criminal activities that they wouldn’t have dreamt of before. The greed of Nintendo and other publishers will make criminals of us all.
