@DakotaActually : Anyone who gives money to charities has, “skin in the game.” You don’t get to decide who reads and responds to comments like the YouTube police. You’re just being defensive because you feel a bit silly. Did you even watch the video? The evidence of both misappropriation and lying is incontrovertible, son.

What you’re refusing to acknowledge is that the question itself is flawed. It genuinely is like asking a physicist, “So, if the Earth turns out to be flat, will you apologise to all those people you laughed at?” We have the Completionist’s own confession to most of it already. Time stamped video in the public domain show that he nevertheless lied about further, crucial details. Add to that the public filings, showing there is considerably more at play, unaccounted for. A low estimate puts that figure in the hundreds of thousands, possibly as high as millions! So, let me put it to you like this: If it turns out that you’re not a human being after all, but actually a small, spiky mammal, are you prepared to apologise to your friends, colleagues and family members for wasting everybody’s time on clothes, human food and that education that was clearly lost on you? Or, perhaps now, you’re willing to acknowledge that the question makes no sense?

@chairyannn : Well, that was my point anyway. The accountants wouldn’t have access to the funds, only the numbers. They couldn’t steal from them if they wanted to. And what firm that handles charities would risk it, for a petty million or two? Knowing a lifetime in jail would not be worth the risk, when they can make millions by handling prestigious firms and growing their reputations?

@TheFallenAngel13524 : I wonder what this family is talking about among themselves? Who’s going to take the rap? Claim that the others didn’t know? Or fleeing the country? When I look at those other people (mostly women, his sisters, friends? Trusties?) sitting around him in his YT videos, nodding along and chiming in with their own echoes of his words. What’s going on in their heads? Do they know? Are they in on a massive con? Ruthlessly exploiting one of the cruelest diseases known to humanity? . . . This is all so F’d up.

@chairyannn : Wouldn’t matter who did it, the form should still show all donations and monies raised and has been signed off by Open Hand’s directors. Unless you’re suggesting the accounting firm stole it all? In which case, no, again. You don’t hand your money over to an accounting firm, you pay them to read numbers from accounts that they don’t have access to. There’s no middle man, taking the cash. Other than someone inside Open Hand, that is.
