Will do. Loving your channel. Like Charlie’s Penguinz0, it’s an eclectic magazine with the power to make you laugh, feel angry, experience schadenfreude, run the gamut of emotions. And the channels that make me feel something matter. The video games industry is still a Wild West of unregulated robber barrens and con artists. And both the little crooks and the, “respectable,” industry leaders seem to be buying off politicians through quiet lobbying. Half of our politicians are clueless old assisted living idiots, just happy to take the lobbying brown envelopes from EA, Ubisoft, or whomever, to look the other way. We need to start inundating our representatives and making gaming regulation an election issue. Billions of dollars are being as good as STOLEN every year. And the tax payer could be benefitting from some ACTUAL regulation. Is this really going to take us 100 years to get some LAW into the industry, like it did with the railways in the Wild West? Write to your representatives, people.

@encycl07pedia- : That’s kind of missing the point entirely. The point is that the numbers don’t lie. People may be leap frogging over each other, every two or three years, but there are enough of them, each and every year, buying these, “games,” and rewarding these con artists to keep robbing the general public. There needs to be some LAW in this town!

@MintBerryCrunch : You’re arguing with a ghost, son. If you’d have been listening, you would have heard him say it isn’t even reasonable to expect a game to keep running multiplayer servers indefinitely. He sited an example, showing it on the screen, of one that is still going after 11 years, as being exceptional. He said out loud that between 10 and 20 years seems reasonable to him, but he doesn’t really know. And you missed ALL OF THAT, to kick up a fuss about something that was never said. The POINT is that there aught to be a MINIMUM limit by LAW. In fact, a little LAW to protect little guys like you would be a good thing across the board.
