They already declined them. On the basis of their endemic corruption which Zelensky has been struggle to battle ever since he took office, among other things. Don’t fall for the Putinganda. They were not going to join, they had NO nukes and they did NOTHING to Russia. All they did was make it clear they want to be in NATO. And that was enough of a, “pretext,” for Putin to act on his REAL goal: preventing Shell and Exxon from drilling all that gas and oil that rivals Russia’s own supply, and becoming their richest European rival on the open market.

@RunplaysinHD : It seems utterly wrong that a sovereign, independent country should have to answer to ANY other country for ANYTHING, let alone Putin’s psycho dictatorship. And who would expect Ukraine to honor the terms of a, “deal,” struck down the barrel of a gun? No one expects a hostage to do the things they promised their terrorist kidnapper, once they’re free. NATO will NOT give extorted promises to Putin. He’s crazy if he thinks they will. Especially since Russia is losing their war and still contained in Ukraine.

@joec9197 : Son, you don’t have access to western sites, so you’re in no position to make a qualified assessment. Sorry. That’s just a fact. Russians are being fed lies and anyone who tries to tell the truth gets shut down or murdered. No one fell for, “the ghost of Kyiv,” even when they enjoyed the story. Western audiences are far more sophisticated than you give them credit for. That’s why Putinganda only has the opposite effect. You say Russia is, “winning,” when we all KNOW Putin expected it to be OVER weeks ago. That doesn’t add up. Nor does the deliberate mass murder of thousands of civilians. The Red Army turned Yellow. Fact.

Keeping his people on high alert all the time is going to cause a nervous, exhausted lackey to make a critical mistake. Like when that camera operator cut him off in mid sentence during his rally, and was later found in a ditch. Frightened bluffers fumble frequently. We ought to get in there and take his finger off that trigger, for good. I KNOW his oligarchs are thinking the same thing 😉

@harkeb : We have the luxury of time. Putin doesn’t. And his goons are already plotting against him now. Largely brought on by Putin’s own paranoid miscalculations. He’s making one blunder after another. But firing EVERYBODY in his inner circle and jailing his closest, smartest advisors has only got them all fearing a return to Stalin’s days. And Putin is more desperate to live than most Ukrainians, judging by the desperation of his actions and his constant complaining about the west. Everything he’s said and done so far screams BLUFF. In fact, it’s way SAFER for the west to aggressively remove Putin and enrich the guy brave enough to take over, so as to leave the world under no illusion that toddler tantrumps with loaded weapons will NOT be tolerated. Everyone on high alert is getting tired and twitchy, which is how mistakes happen. We’re in more danger of nukes right now than we would be with no fly zones and an all out invasion of Russia!

You missed him angrily calling sanctions an, “act of war,” on Russia, as he pounded his desk? Personally, I enjoyed that suck-up-to-China bit at his rally, where they had a, “technical difficulty,” and he got cut off mid sentence. I bet that producer was found in a ditch the next day? You might be missing all this great TV, but we’re not. 😋

The simple version is that Shell and Exxon (and I think BP?) all paid billions for the rights to develop the sights, but they were located in Donbas and before that, off shore in Crimea. Making any sense? Now they’ve confirmed even larger finds than those, possibly as much, if not MORE than Russia’s reserves. But these recent finds are in the west, by the Carpathian Mountains. Putin cannot reach those areas to prevent development without taking the whole country, and here we are.
