Who here actually thinks the base really, “believes,” the Big Lie? I’m not convinced. I think a minority believes, but not the vast majority. I think it’s much more like a massive emotional disorder, fuelled by their gaslighting parental figures in their, “leadership.” It always looks, sounds and smells like a conspiracy, whenever I talk to a qultist. It’s more of a unmet, “need.” An emotional pain (like the one we all felt in 2016) but kept aflame through the politics of grievance, racism, and victimhood. It’s more of a willingness to disregard logic, facts and the truth, as an act of, “loyalty,” and, “self-sacrifice,” like in Stalin’s Communist Russia.
Stalin used to take pleasure in getting on the podium, and announcing a huge flip flop, and acting like things had always been that way, just to see the party’s reaction. He did that with the famine. They all made it a central aspect of their policy as matters grew worse, due to false science (a whole other story) until, one day, Stalin literally announced to a crowd of thousands that, “There is no famine.” And that was that. Many Millions died. But, not one soul dared even MENTION its existence from that day, until the day he died. It was a test of, “loyalty,” to deny reality, and any who contradicted party doctrine went to the gulag. Anyone dumb enough to contradict Stalin with hearing range was robbed and executed. And they got to a point where many of his victims, the imprisoned widows of the executed party members, literally blamed themselves! So convinced they were, that, “if Big Brother says it’s five fingers, it’s five fingers.”
The point, I guess I’m struggling to make here, is that the term, (even the concept of) “Belief,” becomes less relevant, to a gas lit society. It’s an emotional drive, working around the clock, and it takes commitment and hard work to go full on fascist, or Commie, or whatever clockwork world Donny is trying to replace our Republic with! The kind of deep seated emotional disorder that drives people to, rather than keep telling their kids that school has got it wrong, they change the laws, so you can’t teach about slavery anymore! That’s literally happening in Florida and Texas! The kind of hatred that makes it easier to have news stations that tell you what you want to hear, rather than what is! The kind of mental disorder that literally makes it EASIER to choose to unseat your democratically elected government, tear down your Republic and KILL people to do that, rather than accept that your Qult leader was WRONG about anything!
America has an illness, for sure. But, “belief,” is not the issue. One needs to have thought through and had full knowledge of the facts, in order to avoid traps and to distort reality into a lie in the first place. It takes knowledge of the truth to lie about it. Which is why I believe the Qult KNOWS the truth but they just don’t CARE! They’re too emotionally harmed to care. But, if we don’t match that level of emotional drive and commitment, they will overwhelm us. Until the truth itself will become a radical notion; unsafe and life threatening even to utter.
Our job is to curate the truth at all costs. To preserve it and protect it. We are at greater risk than we know, if we won’t acknowledge we are under direct, fascist attack. And what they call, “culture war,” is actually just war. They are coming for the facts; for the truth; for hope, sanity and reason, to force us into a hell scape of Stalinist anti-intellectual, anti-truth SLAVERY.
Personally, I would rather die. But, I’d rather it doesn’t come to that? By all legal means necessary, we must fight with everything we’ve got in us, and more. Because if you don’t think the trumpists are willing to do that, then you’ve underestimated them. We did that once before. There are no second chances. There never is with fascism. It’s always all or nothing. We must win. Failure really is not an option. God bless America. God bless us all. ✌️

Exactly! . . . I’m sorry, David, but I’m just not convinced that all of the voters, “believe,” the Big Lie. Some do, but I’m convinced they’re the minority. Most of them lie, just like their leaders. Racist ideology is dependent upon lies, which are knowingly manufactured, by people who have to have given thought to the truth, in order that they can lie about it effectively. Just as racist parents so often do to their families.
Without knowledge of the facts, their lies cannot be convincing. “Belief,” is a loose concept in this context. It’s more like being emotionally committed, practically mentally ill, than actual, “belief,” in something. A continually self-adjusting narrative, a self-correcting sociopathic, emotional need. An unmet need, compounded and exploited by smarter people who count upon the uncritical credulity of their base. I mean, say it out loud? “A pedophile ring, ritual sacrifices, for a chemical generated by frightened children?” It’s not even RATIONAL.

@niveknanorc7316 : I hope Kinsinger, each time he gets a pat on the back from one of his colleagues, tells them, “All evil needs to succeed, is for good people to DO nothing,” and finishes with a loud, “So, f’k you!” to every last one of them. It’s not like he doesn’t get the death threats and isn’t facing deselection and voter wrath, just like them, after all? Considering they get PAID for this stuff, and are literally meant to set THE examples for the rest of us, it truly sickens me, but does not surprise me one iota. You have to be an invertebrate to get into the GOP anyway, it seems? He should record them all, and then name and shame them, giving a detailed list of their hypocritical, dishonest, fraudulent acts. It just makes me sad . . .

Me too. Do you all think David is right about the base? I know their, “leadership,” all know they’re lying, but I’m just not convinced that anything more than a small minority actually, “believes,” the big lie. “Belief,” itself is a loose term when you’re moving into fascist territory though, when it’s much more like a mental condition; an emotional unmet, “need,” that makes people disregard the facts, because they just, “need,” what they want, so badly.
You cannot lie effectively, and on such a massive scale, without giving serious thought to the facts, and therefore having considerable knowledge of what the facts are. And, like a racist parent, who works so hard at conditioning their children to disregard what they learn in schools, see in the outside, wider world, and read in books and see in movies and TV, that kind of lying takes commitment and hard work. Little wonder they attack our education system and want to remove the existence of slavery from the curriculum altogether, right? It must be really hard work, having to counter your child’s education, every single day?
But that’s the level of awareness racists show. And it’s testimony to their deep, abiding commitment to destroy the Republic and America’s (aspired to) way of life. It serves as an acknowledgement of the knowledge of wrongdoing, on the part of the base. And it serves as a warning. Fascism is growing because these people really, really work at it, around the clock! And therefore, so should we, if we want to save America from Fascism.

@rosemontoya7005 : It would be a huge opportunity for America, to see what Joe and his party could achieve with an actual, clear MAJORITY. And it should be sold to the American public like that, at the midterms. If you want to see Joe DELIVER on his promises, give him that majority that he needs to see the job through! But, if we lose so much as ONE, SINGLE SEAT in the balance of power, America is f’ked. No exaggeration. We really NEED more seats, to give America a country that it would just be UNTHINKABLE to give up. And when the Haters see for themselves that there was no bogey man, that the country is NOT, “communist,” now, and that no one has injected Bill Gates’ trackers into them via the vaccine, the cult of trump may finally die?
