  1. That was exactly the case with my mother, who had Alzheimer's and I had to put her in Assisted Living Memory Care. I have NO idea what I'd have done if she hadn't had the money to afford this, because I had to work! So while I hope to have funds to leave my kids (and, in fact, help them now) I have to provide for unplanned end of life conditions and a potential care facility, because I don't know what the future holds and I cannot expect to lean on them for care or living arrangements.
