  1.  @irritatedkitty7301  This law already exists for very poor owners' homesteaded property. But they have to file a public disclosure of their finances each year to qualify for it.

  2. FL Ststutes do not allow property taxes to go up onhomesteaded property more than 3% per year! I've lived in FL, in same house, 35 years now, and mine have NEVER gone up more than 3% annually. Some years,they've stayed the same or been reduced. Michael stillpretends to not understand the fact that when a home is sold, it IS reassessed Jan. 1 of next year, at then-current market value. Not after that. It's completely understandable, and no mystery. Look up Save Our Homes Amendment to FL Constitution for additional info on property taxes in FL. County and City property taxes are what causes taxes to go up in Marxist blue corrupt counties and cities (Miami is one example, but this is also somewhat true in my N FL Marxist-run city/county.)

All youneed to do is vote out the corrupt blue Marxist-run county and city commissioners and mayor for non-RINO, fiscally responsible conservative ones, and stop voting for new useless and duplicative initiatives, which will cost you more in taxes! (Case in point: The phony Children's Services Council. Big bucks go to the mayor's wifefor her "salary" in my city for this!)
