  1. I did the same as your mom, after paying homeowner's insurance for 30 years without needing to make a claim in all those years! I just wish I had terminated my insurance sooner, and I'm in FL.

  5. Michael, I'm in FL and have State Farm Insurance on my rental (investment) house. Had it on my car and homesteaded house too, until I dropped it on my home and switched car insurance. I think they're still writing new policies here.
