  1. I've lived in FL most of my nearly 72 years, and not going anywhere. Own a home and a rental house. Insurance is not an issue for those who self-insure, and my experience has been 0 claims filed in 35 years of paying for homeowner's insurance. Decided to self-insure from here on out for my home (not the rental.)

  2.  @ssoffshore5111 I grew up in S. FL in the 1950's and 1960's. By 1980, it had grown way too big and was full of shady grifters and scam artists, in addition to all the retired who lived there. It hasn't been habitable since then, IMO. But that's mainly SOUTH FL.

  4. That's what happened to a house we were renting in Pensacola Beach, right on the Bay, in the 1980s. The water encroached so much in the year we were there, that half of the backyard fountain/patio disappeared into the Bay!😮
