@Noworries-PU7ye That's not true, and anyone who reads the FL statutes regulating insurance (OIR) can learn all about how insurance is regulated here.

@transition6 Me, too. I left in 1970, and moved eventually to N. FL. Much less expensive here, and I hope it stays that way.

The lender will call the loan in.
3
Yes,unless she's on or near water, or in a flood zone.
2
It's called Marxism.
2
I think that's illegal. They have to give more notice than that.
2
Some would love it!😂
2
Yes, I'm sure that had a lot to do with it.
2
Are you on or near the beach?
2
Exactly! These snowflakes want OTHER people's $$ to subsidize them! And we already do, through the Marxist version of homeowners' insurance, Citizens State Insurance.
1
Is your rental property on or a few miles from the coast?! Those are the properties getting hit with insurance increases the most, along with those in a flood zone.
1
@Noworries-PU7ye How old are you??
1
Because many years ago, a Marxist state government with Democrat as governor decided all FL citizens, whether homeowners or not, needed to share the risks of hurricanes, forming Citizens' insurance Corp. And like all Democrat Marxist institutions, it's been ripping off ALL Floridians ever since! And btw, guess who suffers the biggesthurricane damages?! Wealthy people who live on or near the water!

He specializes in kvetching.

Many insurers have gone bankrupt and left the state. WHAT can government do about it? Wave a magic wand?
1
Meet Kevin is a Marxist. He and Newsome are birds of a feather.
1
@ksmith2852 Chi-coms own CA.
1
@Noworries-PU7ye No, they DON'T always pay it. Smart people pay off their mortgage snd self-insure, if they're in a high and dry area of FL.
1
That's why theyrecently CHANGED the law to prevent insurance fraud in the future. Now, no more assignment ofbenefits.
1
Yes, that is the biggest reason, illegals flooding into our borders in RECORD numbers.
1
Yes, in FL they were inexpensive concrete block covered with stucco and had terrazzo floors. I grew up on an island off PB County.
1
But that can be said even more of states that (unlike FL) have allowed the CCP and other Communist Party leaders with $$$ to buy up all the land and property in expensive states like CA, NY, etc.
1
DeSantis said, if he's elected POTUS in 2024, that he'll abolish the IRS, (YES!), abolish the Dept. of Education (Marxist teachers union, crt, transgender ideology, etc.) Dept. of Energy and Dept. of Commerce! vote DeSantis in 2024! He keeps his promises!
1
Can't she pay off her mortgage and self-insure?!
1
At least Gov. DeSantis prevented FL from being wholly-owned by the Chi-coms, though. CA not so lucky.
1
@taroman7100 Drag queens and groomers are reality?! Only in nightmares.
1
Let me introduce you to OIR (FL Office of Insurance Regulation) in FL Statutes. You'll find all the regulations your heart desires.
1
Tell me what you expect him to do: Throw insurers in prison to keep them from moving their bankrupt businesses out of state?? Or should DeSantis just tell insurers that if they want to do business in FL, they must learn to control the weather?! There, crisis solved, WHY hasn't DeSantis already thought of it?! LOL.
1
None, unless you get and pay for a special inspection, costing about $150-200.
1
DeSantis is not King, nor is he magic. I think we have to go back in time to the way it was in FL when I grew up. No mansions built on the beaches, or multi-level condos, for that matter. Btw, I'm in N. FL, and the insurance rates here are much lower than in S. FL, unless you're near water.
1

1
@Noworries-PU7ye Can you read? Because all you have to do is turn to OIR in FL Statutes, and you'll LEARN that insurance is indeed regulated in FL! Let me know if you have any problems reading! I figure you might be about 6 or 7 years old??!
1
the legislature met in special session to deal with insurance companies, but not even God can keep insurers from leaving the state because they are bankrupt or losing $$. DeSantis cannot control the weather, though you Marxists blame him for EVERYTHING.
1
Insurance companies don't pay for arson. It's a crime, lol.
