  1. The quality, knowledge and willingness (to properly advertise a seller's home) of real estate agents has fallen SO far from where it was 40 years ago, it is shocking! Most of them today are also as unprofessional as fast-food burger-flippers.

  2. I sold three houses myself years ago, because I split the "realtor's fee" with the buyer, ensuring a quick sale. Always got an attorney to do the closing, and another time used an escrow/title company to hold the deposit (and they can also do the closing, if you prefer.) I showed the houses myself. However, back then, a FSBO couldn't be listed on the MLS. Major drawback.
