  1. Yes, taxes go up 10% each year on my investment rental, but I pass the increase on to my renters. I cannot even think of ever selling it because I've owned it for so longthat I'd payhalf the sales price in capital gains. So at my death, my heirs will inherit it free of those capital gains (stepped up basis.) Good thing I'm 72.
