  1. N. FL sits on top of the greatest fresh water supply in the US, if not the world! The Floridan Aquifer, which is most of N. FL's water supply. Won't be running out anytime soon. But in S. FL? Yeah, they're screwed.

  2.  @EMan-cu5zo Problem for S. FL is that it is EXTREMELY expensive to make salt water desalinated. N. FL doesn't have this issue, because the Floridan Aquifer is fresh water from underground springs.

  3. Well, we have way worse inflation now, but prices for homes went off a cliff in the last crash in 2006-2010 or whatever it was. Some areas were 50% reductions, like Cape Coral and some others in S. and middle FL, while other areas came down less. But the demand for housing in FL is also much greater now than then, so we'll see..,

  7. ⁠ @MichaelBordenaro Well, with all the people moving in to FL, it goes to more schools, infrastructure, maintenance, and inflation, caused by the federal gov. giving everyone $$$ during Covid, has also increased what the state gov's costs are. Then there's the BIG one--what your LOCAL blue Marxist city andcounty commissioners and mayor decide to spend on wasteful pet projects and payingbig bucks to their relatives to head them up, for example. A favorite is the (duplicative services) Children's Services Council down in PB County where my mom had a house. Now we have one in my county, too. We need to vote out the corrupt Democrats who vote for this stuff.
