My city's mayor awarded a newly created and duplicative "service" council to his wife, and pays her a million dollar salary from taxpayer funds to do nothing, She, in turn, appoints a bunch of unelected bureaucrat friends, who also gets paid. Then a year later, they want to increase property taxes 10% to fund an increase in the unnecessary service council, which has acomplished nothing the entire year. This is what's happening in mycity---and yours, too. Rinse and repeat, every year.
