  2. I own a rental house in FL free and clear. Because property taxes are allowed (by local Democrat-run spendthrift city) to rise 10% per year, my property insurance on it is nowhere near increasing as fast as the property taxes. And because of the rise in inflation,maintenance costs are way up, too. I don't raise the rent more than $50.00 per month annually, but so far, I'm stillmaking plenty of money to pay the IRS every year on the so-called profits.
