  15. Thank you, lawmakers, for this bill. I'm a Boomer, and we used to have to take "Americanism vs. Communism" in high school back in the day, along with Civics, circa 1968. Also, I grew up in S. FL, and had a Cuban refugee childhood friend, who had to flee Cuba with her grandmother in a wooden boat about 1960. She said Castro's thugs were shooting at them.

  32. The US Constitution is a unique and brilliant document written by intelligent men, most of whom were also moral and religious. However, as one of them remarked, it is wholly unsuitable for a citizenry who are not both moral and religious. (IMO, most citizens must at least be moral for it to work. And that includes our elected officials in state and federal governments most of all!)

  36. Abortions should not be allowed in this day and age past 6 werks, when the baby has a heartbeat and can likely feel pain. Pregnancy tests widely available OTC now that can determine pregnancy before a missed period, even. Then an abortion pill can be used to end the pregnancy in a more humane way, but hopefullybefore 6weeks.

I graduated from public high school in Palm Beach County, FL in 1969, and we had a choice of two courses that were required in order to graduate: Americanism vs. Communism or American civics class. Kudos to Gov. DeSantis for bringing back this long-banished requirement that is a basic foundation for American education. (I think both are needed.)
