  16. Insurance in FL cannot increase unless they can show their cost increases warrant it. (OIR regulations.) It is what it is. And unfortunately, the increased cost is spread throughout the state. Meanwhile, even people like me who happilydropped their homeowners insurance, still get dinged having to subsidize Citizen's Insurance! (Boo hoo!)
