I graduated from public high school in Palm Beach County, FL in 1969, and we had a choice of two courses that were required in order to graduate: Americanism vs. Communism or American civics class. Kudos to Gov. DeSantis for bringing back this long-banished requirement that is a basic foundation for American education. (I think both are needed.)

  3. Same for me in Palm Beach County in the late 1960s. (You could choose back then from Americanism vs. Communism or American civics class.) Very valuable and important classes.
