Well why are they? If socialism were the right course, it wouldn't lead to widespread poverty and animosity with the rest of the world. Strong and dynamic economies aspire others to become like them

@WanderTheNomad not much needs to be done. If it was the right course, we'd all be dying to immigrate to North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela. Are we? I think social democracy is the way (i.e. capitalism with well funded public services) - the third way. The way of New Zealand, Denmark and Canada. In a sense, large private pensions for workers means these workers are shareholders in a diversified range of companies. That's common ownership through capitalism and work.
