Could this raise the wages?

@boltobolt12 either they will have to improve working conditions or they will relocate abroad. I think many larger businesses who have the choice will do the latter. Unless we provide a competitive environment for businesses, like lax regulations, low corporate tax etc. Although if we don't then they will be replaced by smaller more local businesses

@Mark MacDonald people who are in demand can command higher wages. Not all businesses are barely viable, those that are based on local consumption will only win from higher wages overall. But this will make us less competitive internationally. So we need to develop some competitive advantage, e.g. turns out we are pretty good at genetics and biotechnology. We should utilise that to the max.
