Maybe they do deliver on promises that people vote for. E.g. they did deliver Brexit, they didn't rise income tax, they did keep triple lock (for now), they did crack down on EU immigration and asylum seekers.

@michaeloconnor2603 well, they'll make new promises then. I think people have red lines, e.g. for me rent controls are a red line, Brexit was a red line. And a part crosses that red line, the person will not vote for that party. From all the analysis I've seen, FoM was a red line for many voters, in fact that was the real point of Brexit. Many Brexiteers would only vote for parties that promised the end to FoM, so Labour was out in 2019 (but not yet in 2017 when they did promise the end of FoM)
