  1. I love it so much when you speak Russian and sub title it! My grandmother TRIED teaching me this when I was a kid and I could not understand. She taught me the alphabet but I couldn't write it. Just read it. She taught me key words but I was so young. I took Spanish as my elective. I made that decision more or less flipping a coin. If I had singed up for Russian that year it would have been the 5th signature they needed to keep the program. Unfortunately there was no Russian that year unless you stayed after for the Russian club. Oh and all the people in the peanut gallery here, take note. The US had RUSSIAN CLUBS in the 80s and 90s in Junior High School and High School (6th-12th grades). And they weren't communist spy programs.

  2. My great grandfather was killed fighting for Czar Nicholas II and his family. My great grandmother and grandmother had to leave Russia and change their names 2 times each before they felt they were safe from being killed by the Bolsheviks or the Communist Party. As they were in fact hunting all the supporters of the Romanovs down and killing them. Most of them being loosely related family. So if you had 1/10th of that bloodline in you and any one knew it, you could be killed. Whether you supported communism or not. Stalin saw to this. They hated it here. My great grandmother died speaking ill of this place. My grandmother never got used to it. They both died out of time and place. It's why I always wanted to return there for a while and meet the relatives I have there that were able to make it. So few, but they did. I never got to Russia proper but I did get as far as the inner iron curtain before it was taken down. Poland, Belarus, Ukraine. All the border areas and slav cities that were then communist. It was interesting. But it wasn't like going back to St. Petersburg.

  5. Why would ANYONE from Russia want to retire in the US unless they had family here? That makes no sense. It'd be like me retiring to Russia. Sure, I have family there but being as I did not labor under the Russian system, there is no retirement for me. Also, last I checked, as old as I am, I can still be drafted. No thank you.

  6. What's going on is this: The woman from Siberia that actually wanted to run and was denied was 100% legit. The guy she seeded all her base to is not. He is a plant. He was planted by Russia to determine just how many people do not want the war. There is a possibility that Vlad will step down to "Vice President" and let dude steer for a term while he tells him where to steer. There is a possibility Putin wins and uses the same info in the same way. If enough of the country wants it, they will end that war. If there is no one left to fleece military money from, what is the use of having one? So no, this is all planned, designed and set to tell the will of the people. Then they can plan around it.

  8. Watch, Trump gets re elected. He talks to Putin, the war ends and everyone starts the rebuilding process. This will lead to an economic boom that the people will think Putin and Trump enacted. When in reality our presidents were told to give away the old military equipment to prove how good it works in order to get the finances to build ever bigger and better weapons. Putin will tell Russia this and if it's not Putin, it won't matter, as that is the plan and that is what needs to happen in the eyes of leadership. We are fighting against each other in preparation to fight something else in the future.

Sure, some things get you down, but since you got that passport, you seem to have left a lot of the sadness and depression behind and that is good my friend!   11. McCain, a US senator and war vet used to call Russia a gas station masquerading as a country. Now, that isn't exactly true but it rings so true. Russia was once the forerunner in the space race. Russia was once a tech giant. Russia was once a military juggernaut. But it came at the cost of her people. The new way gives the people more but makes the country look poor. No more innovation. Brain drain, all the top minds move to other countries. Cities getting so old it's ridiculous. Only Moscow is kept up in any positive manner and it's not all positive there as well. I do not understand why leadership cannot see this. And for the ones that do? How can they sit by and not care? It is very sad to see. I said before that one day I wanted to go to Russia and live there a while. A few years to a decade was the thought but I do not think it will be viable within my lifetime. Not after everything from 2013 on. I guess I missed my shot in my 30s. I pray that it will happen but I do not have hope that it will. It seems too remote. Too far off to think that all of a sudden the people running the show will realize how much damage they have done and reverse full course. I just can't see it. In my own country my contemporaries think that we actually hold sway, as common citizens, in our elections and we do not. The electoral college does. It was put together at the time of our countries inception and was put in place to make sure that if for some reason everyone decided to vote for Putin to be OUR next president, he couldn't be. The other 9/10th of the vote belongs to the Electoral College and they would never let that happen. The only thing the citizens do here is have a "popular vote". That's it. 1/10th of the vote. That's it. 400 Million people get 1/10th of the vote. Which means we don't vote at all and all the damage being done by drawing lines is symptomatic of ignorance of the way our government works. Which is how they get you. The only way through is in. You have to go in but those that do never come out the same. See how that works? No, a new, single world government is needed. I am pretty sure this is what got JFK killed. I do believe he was planning on explaining this to the people. Also, on a local government front, the elected officials in the US do not hold the sway that the internally elected leaders do. Not even close. All elected officials can be shut down by people that own that section of that town, county, village or state. In order to get actual justice you often have to have your case moved to another jurisdiction that is not in league with the people that own the one you live in. And in other cases it is impossible without serious awareness. Awareness in the 10s of millions of people is a minimum.
