  1. The entire thing was both a test and propaganda. Wagner rolling in proved the Russian citizens and army are ALL A-OK! with this war. NO ONE backed him. NO ONE! If the country had rallied behind him Russia would be a new country right now. But they didn't. They stuck by 'ol Putin. This is Russia telling the world they are fine with the war. This is Russia telling Russians, that even the most powerful and influential military group in the country eventually bowed to Putin. If anyone was thinking of a coup? This would stop them dead in their tracks thinking "Wagner couldn't do it, and they have money, how can we, as freedom fighters on a shoestring budget, pull this off, even WITH a portion of the military on our side? It no longer looks possible let alone probable that we win.". Over this war I have come to know that Russia does not rely on facts to run it's country. It relies on propaganda and mind games to keep people in check. Just like every other country. However I have to say the Russians seem to have perfected this. They are the sheepiest sheep in the world, well, third sheepiest, can't forget North Korea and China!

  2. Putin called Prigozhin a traitor. The commander in chief does not talk to traitors in any country. Simply, they dispose of them. Putin could not be seen in a meeting with him or it would have made him look weak. Or so his PR people told him. So he let Lukashenko do it for him in order to keep the illusion of power. It's that simple. All of this is propaganda to stop a coup while the army is away. You know that, right? The capital is so bare bones right now a mob of angry citizens with ordinary guns could storm it and take it.
