Stein is getting support from Republicans. Does she not exist in politics these days to try to play a spoiler role? She is willing to be dishonest (for example claim Democrats supposedly betrayed supporters on student debt when actually Republicans undercut their efforts) to make Democrats look bad but says little about Republicans. She avoids talking about differences between Democrats and Republicans as part of the deception.

Since you live in a swing state I and Norm Chomsky would encourage you not to. He would simply point to the damage Trump would do with regard to Global Warming (something there is a clear difference between Democrats and Republicans on). I would point to support Stein has gotten from Trump allies and her own dishonesty. Plus that Netanyahu wants Trump back in the White House (likely because Trump already has let Netanyahu annex lands no other US President would).

@bwiblies Thank you for attempting to clarify that. But if you reread what I wrote you may notice I was pointing out reasons to not vote for Stein since you live in a state where your vote actually and really matters-people outside of swing states have the luxury of voting for whomever knowing it won't matter much. Inside swing states-and Pennsylvania is 1-that goes away since votes have an impact. What reasons would you vote for Stein. Would Trump have a real world impact on most or all of those issues in a way that is worse than Harris?

Democrats do have a platform at least half as good and that is why Stein spends most of her time attacking them-often dishonestly. For example she recently claimed Democrats betrayed their voters on student debt while pointedly not mentioning Republicans undercut Democratic efforts. She wouldn't do that if this was just about platforms. She has gotten help from Republicans. I've voted third party before but these are not the signs of someone doing a third party run based purely on promoting ideas or a platform. Heck, I've even voted Green Party before. So yes I do appreciate the value of a third party in politics. However I will not vote for Jill Stein (now or in a future election) because her actions give me reason to have distrust. Additionally if anyone lives in a swing state their vote impacts who is in the White House. In an election this important it is not the time for symbolic votes.

I can. I listened to what she said earlier this month and noticed she lied about Democrats. For example she claimed Democrats supposedly betrayed their own voters by not doing more on student debt. What actually happened is Republicans undercut Democratic efforts. So what she said misrepresented the actions of both major parties. Additionally I am aware Stein has received help from Republicans.

The irony/dishonesty in that statement this time around is that those who wanted to cut funds for Ukraine often wanted to cut funds to help Americans-however they had no problems sending more money to Israel.

Then think carefully if you live in a swing state. I've voted third party myself (including Green Party). So I don't blame people for wanting to do that. However Stein has been getting support in this election who are deeply opposed to what the Green Party stands for-that is a big red flag. If you live in a swing state then your vote has a greater impact than just symbolism. If you care about the environment (such as dealing with Global Warming) or Palestinians then the better way to vote is probably for Harris. Trump has been more willing to support Netanyahu annexing land than any other US President in modern history. That doesn't sound like a recipe for peace in Gaza nor the well-being of the people living there. Bob Woodward's new book War discussed how Biden had to push Netanyahu to let food aid in for civilians when Netanyahu didn't want to.

I've voted for the Green Party in the past but I will not vote for Stein now. She has gotten help from Republicans because they and she know she is acting as a spoiler for them. That is not being an honest third party. Additionally she was dishonest about Democrats when speaking about them-avoiding talking about differences between Democrats and Republicans and actively lying about why more student debt didn't get cut (Republicans blocked it).

You can in Texas since it is not a swing state. Anyone who is in a swing state should not. Swing state voters have votes that will impact who is actually in the White House and that could end up saving or costing lives.

@logicallydashing I'll admit it is hindered. But if it was totally pointless so much effort wouldn't go into gerrymandering and voter suppression. Change those things and it becomes a potent democracy. Get rid of the Electoral College and it changes to become even more potent.

Stein isn't being honest. She actively gets support from and works with Republicans to undercut the Democratic Party. She claimed falsely that voters for her would've stayed home while directly trying to discourage people from voting for Democrats-notice the deception and lack of willingness to be honest about what she does? Also since Netanyahu wants Trump she is also working to reward Netanyahu for not making peace. Yes Trump lets Israel take lands other US Presidents refused to and they are both corrupt so they have that in common.

Problem is that Jill Stein lies in order to hurt Democrats-and often only democrats. She isn't honest on comparing differences between Democrats and Republicans and even sometimes tries to blame Democrats for things Republicans do-which is highly dishonest. A recent example of the latter is when Jill Stein claimed Democrats supposedly betrayed their own voters by not cutting student debt more-while refusing to mention that Democrats did and Republicans undercut their efforts. BTW Jill Stein has been getting help from Trump people this election-such as Trump lawyers. There are people out there that try to honestly run a third party. But when they exist they can talk honestly about where their party stands on an issue and where other parties stand. I've voted Green Party before, I will not vote for Jill Stein (not now when the election is both important and very close nor in the future even if the election is not close) because of her dishonesty and who she chooses to make herself a tool for.

Stein is part of the 2 party duopoly. Specifically as a Republican agent. That is why some Trump supporters have been helping her. It is also why she dishonesty avoids mentioning the real differences between Democrats and Republicans-including that Netanyahu wants Trump back in the White House. Trump would let Netanyahu annex more land.

If Trump wins that would be rewarding Netanyahu for the genocide he ordered. Trump supported Netanyahu annexing lands no other US President would back during Trump term. Harris supports having a Palestinian nation, Trump doesn't. This isn't punishing genocide but rewarding it. BTW the GOP spent $1.5 mill on Stein in Wisconsin-and that probably isn't the only swing state where they did this. So people may claim there are no swing states but in practice that isn't true.

I've vote for Green Party candidates in the past. I'm not voting for Stein-not now nor any other election. She gets support from Trump people because she and they know she is just their to cause problems for Democrats. Her dishonesty gives away that she is trying to be a spoiler as well. For example, Democrats tried to do something about Student Debt and Republicans hindered it. She reframing that as Democrats supposedly betraying others is very dishonest on her part.

Netanyahu wants Trump (a US President who allowed Netanyahu to annex lands all prior US Presidents refused to) back in the White House. Allowing that to happen is rewarding genocide. Jill Stein is dishonest. She is an agent of 1 part of the 2 party Duopoly. She has gotten help from Trump people-including 1 of Trump's lawyers. She isn't for building a third party but preventing Democrats from getting into office. She is also fully aware that Netanyahu would prefer Trump in the White House-thus rather than fighting genocide she is trying to help those directly ordering the death and destruction. I have voted for third party candidates before and also vote for major party candidates. So I've already disproven that theme. Plus Stein's criticism of Democrats and primarily democrats to the point where she is saying dishonest things about them as she leaves Republicans typically alone or even fails to criticize them for their actions makes clear she is trying to pull from a major party.

So at this point does the GP actually have its "own goals"? Also I never said I was 'a "regretted voter"', are you trying to put words in my mouth? I did say I won't (and didn't) vote for Stein.

If that were true she wouldn't be getting help from Republicans this time around. She is. Additionally if you listen to her she is dishonest when it comes to Democrats in a way that detracts from them but not Republicans. BTW I've voted Green Party before but will not vote for Stein during this election and am not likely to in any future election. If you're in a swing state your vote matters and the best way it could have an impact is for Harris.

We can have people who are honestly 3rd party. But Jill Stein is not 1 of them. She gets support from Republicans specifically so she can cause problems for Democrats. She got support from some of Trump's people-they are not doing that out of the goodness of their hearts nor any belief in supporting what she claims to be for. I've voted third party before, but I'll never vote for her.

@ControlledSpeech4YourFeelings Some of that 100 million may have gone to Stein. The 100 million was to bribe Trump into letting Netanyahu annex more (including in the West Bank). Since Trump staff and lawyers have helped Stein this election a portion of it may have gone to paying them and thus paying, indirectly, Stein.

The $100 mil you mentioned from Adelson was to Trump-with expectations he support Netanyahu annexing more land including in the West Bank. Since Trump lawyers have been helping Stein if they were paid with some of that money then Stein has not received a full $100 mil but has arguably gotten some of it indirectly as it pays for help she got.

Or it is being honest in this situation. To be clear I like having third parties to generate new ideas. However in this election the Republicans were found to have spent $1.5 million on Jill Stein in the swing state of Wisconsin.. and probably have spent to push her in other states as well. That is paying to be a "spoiler".

Do that and the West Bank is increasingly likely to be annexed. Adelson reportedly gave Trump around $100 million if he would support Netanyahu's annexation goals. That can be avoided as well as more pollution and worse treatment of immigrants if the blue candidate is elected this time around.

Voting Green saves no-one this election. I've done it before BTW. An election where more pollution, potentially mass abuse of immigrants, harm to election integrity, and rewarding Netanyahu for his actions (Netanyahu wants Trump-the biggest supporter of Israeli annexations of any recent US President-back) are all present but will probably not be the next election tell me this is not the election to do that.

Actually it isn't about platform. The Democrats don't have a terrible platform-especially when compared to the Republican current platform. Additionally Stein is being actively dishonest about what Democrats do. For example, Democrats tried to do something with student debt and Republicans undercut the effort. Stein claiming Democrats betrayed their voters on the issue is flat out dishonest. Trump people have helped Stein. If she is getting help from the GOP she isn't an honest alternative to the 2 party system but simply a method by which 1 of those parties tries to attack the other. Jay Sekulow (a Trump lawyer and public booster) has been helping the Green Party out this year. Other Republicans have too. If Stein was simply running on her own ideas-and especially if she wanted to be against both major parties-then she wouldn't be getting the help she has from 1 of them nor focusing her criticisms primarily against just 1 party. These are not indications of someone who is just standing on platform and ideas.

Because Democrats are actually trying to save some lives in Gaza while Stein is trying to boost Trump and thus reward Netanyahu (who wants Trump back in office). Democrats arrogant? Sure. But don't miss Stein's dishonesty here. Not only did she claim there was no difference on Israel and Gaza (a lie) but she purposefully avoided mentioning Republican undercut Democratic efforts on student debt-very dishonestly labeling it a betrayal (supposedly by Democrats) when what actually stopped it from happening is Republican efforts.

Plus if you have access to C-span I recommend looking at the US Senate Debate in Wisconsin last week. The Republican (Hovde) said it was a problem and wrong that the US tried to stop Israel from causing so much death and destruction (he phrased it as meddling). Check out Bob Woodard's book War and how he mentioned that Biden had to push Netanyahu to let any food in for Palestinian civilians in Gaza. US meddling is trying to save lives by preventing starvation. BTW the Democratic candidate (Baldwin) supported a ceasefire. Stein is pointing blame at Democrats and saying there is no difference when there very much is one-responses to the destruction in Gaza show it. Interestingly enough Stein has been getting help from Republicans in this election. I recommend looking up a Crooked Media podcast titled "Why is Jill Stein trying to get Trump Elected". On Gaza in specific I recommend a Politico article titled "Far Right Israeli Minister suggests Trump would be better than Biden". If you live in a swing State I'd recommend a vote for Harris both for Palestinians and for people living all over the World. If you don't live in a swing state and really want to vote for a third party there are some out there-I'd recommend a different third party than Stein 'ssince, despite that I have voted for a Greene Party candidate before, I cannot recommend them while Republicans are supporting them (and some quietly have this year.) If you care about genocide of children I'd recommend not rewarding the person ordering much of the destruction-that would be Netanyahu. The best way to avoid rewarding Netanyahu would probably be to give him someone he doesn't want as the US President (which would be Harris).

Except she did. On top of that the podcast "Why is Jill Stein trying to get Trump elected" argues the details of the situation contradict the explanation she tried to give here. That makes the comments anything but "naive".

That is your choice. However if it out of concern over the situation in Gaza you should be aware that allowing Trump (who has been willing to support Netanyahu annexing more lands than any former US President recently) back into office would be a reward for Netanyahu. And right now the choice is between pro-annexation Trump and a person who has tried to get Gazan's food as well as push for Palestinians having their own nation.

@ryangraham71 I never said it was a vote for another candidate. What I did say is that in certain states (in a system that probably out to be done away with since it is not "TRUE democracy") some people's votes have more of an impact than others. In those states the real impact on many issues a lot of people say they care about will be decided-potentially including how well the right to vote will be protected.

If Stein wasn't an agent of the GOP why would she get help from 1 of Trump's lawyers and 1 of his billionaires. I also noticed she was purposefully dishonest about differences between Republicans and Democrats on Gaza and lied to people about Republicans undercutting Democratic efforts on student debt.

For example she falsely claimed Democrats supposedly stabbed their voters in the back cutting Student Debt while never mentioning the role Republicans had in undercutting Democratic efforts. I've voted Green Party before but there is no way I will with Stein on the ballot. She has been getting help from Trumpers too.

The Republicans have spent $1.5 million helping her in the swing state of Wisconsin and that probably is not the only state. So it isn't like money isn't coming her way. Granted it is money that comes with the intention of undermining the things the Green Party stands for but it is money coming Stein's way.

Do you have a source? BTW I totally believe Trump would. The idea he is running as a supposed peace candidate when he wanted to fire missiles into Mexico and then had to be talked out of starting a war with Iran on the way out makes that supposed theme supporting him a laughable one. Still if you could point me in the direction of a source I'd appreciate it.
