@donaldbutschek6458 All living things have the same goal, to continue their species as much as they can. Human beings are animals, but we have some special abilities, and we can think and change that genetically imprinted goal... But for all life, that goal is the same...that is why Richard Dawkins called his early book "selfish Gene". That book can give you many answers to those questions.

@seawater1322 Why should it be designed? They evolved that way. And all organisms have the will to survive, adaptation is another thing, mutation and selection, with one word, evolution.
