That is not true. Japanese were ready to surrender, but someone wanted to see what will happen if they drop those bombs on civilians. That was a crime against humanity.

The fact remains that the USA did a crime against humanity, killing so many civilians just to see what nukes can do to human beings and cities. Your attempt to justify dropping those nukes is laughable... Dropping those nukes is a nice precedent that Russia can use, if the US used those nukes, Russia may use such with a small yield today... Or you will start with hypocrisy, telling me how it was justified when the USA did that, but it is not justified if another does the same? What a joke...

Go and try to take nukes of those countries that have those. Why would they give them? Especially Russia, you think that in times of imminent threat by NATO Russia will give its enormous nuclear potential? That is naive to think.

@dillan6134 I am not crying, and neither should you if Russia uses a few such nukes in Ukraine, the USA made a precedent, so if Ukraine does not surrender Russia may use such weapons. But, it is simply not true, Japan was ready to surrender, but the government of the USA wanted to use those bombs, to see what will happen and the world to know that the USA has such weapons. I will not cry, but you should accept that Russia may use such weapons unless you are a hypocrite.

@richplant2205 I have studied that topic too, and probably it was fascinating once, in the late 40s, in the 50s, but today those nuclear processes are nothing special for anyone who knows physics a little better, maybe technology is a little more interesting but it is not exactly some miracle. But sure, I understand that the biggest releases of energy that human beings can do can be something that is attracting attention.

Those two nukes are crimes against humanity, over 200.000 innocent civilians died just because the government of the USA wanted to show its power, all to tremble in fear, and, of course, to see what those new toys will actually do to human beings. That is just one black dot, one out of many of the governments of the USA. After that, every president that the USA had did some despicable act, coups, wars, military interventions, giving weapons to those who did genocides, etc.

@rudolphreindeer7910 Karma? Did civilians killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki commit those horrendous crimes? You are going into the territory of collective guilt, something that was used in totalitarian regimes. If one wins in some war, and there were atrocities, crimes against humanity, and similar things, one should find the perpetrators, not to go and punish innocent civilians to brutal death. That was just an experiment for the USA and a message for the whole world that the USA can use nukes if all don't do whatever the USA wants.
