The tragedy of Dave Rubin is that he thinks he so much smarter than he actually is. I so many ways we all get ahead of ourselves at times before we suddenly find out we didn't know as much as we thought and have to take a pause. Rubin just thinks he's above that. A few weeks back ! saw an interview with British Actor/Comedian Tom Hardy who plays Jonathan Pie and he said we have to take at least some time listening to the other side or we'll never understand them. One of Dave's podcasts popped up a few days later and I bit the bullet. It was a 34 minute long panel discussion Dave hosted with 3 others, one of whom represented Prager U. I don't know what was the worst aspect, the cringe, the ignorance, the arrogance, the hypocrisy or how they CELBRATED those things. Everyone no matter their politics can be and usually has done something cringy or ignorant or arrogant or hypocritical, but these guys wound the dials up to 11 across the board and CELEBRATED IT. Despite their claims of being intelligent and reasonable, the only things they seem to value are taking smug cheap shots at others.

@blue-calla I'd recommend to everyone to do it every so often as it has several advantages. 1) You are hearing them speak uninterrupted rather than punctuated with other opinions. Its gives you better context. 2) Whenever you are challenged you can throw back that you have listened to them and explain why you reject them. 3) Sun Tzu said you need to know your opponent. Sam and others might be good at their jobs but to rely 100% on them to know these people is foolish. Its means you can't honestly reply to other peoples challenges and you become the drone that others accuse of being. Tom hardy made the point that we have lost the ability to debate. All we do now is scream at each other or sit in a circle of like minded people and reinforce our own ideas. neither solves anything and these days there's a lot of things to fix.
