Yeah it must never be forgotten what Newt did when he was speaker, because of lot of what he did was a major step along the path that lead to where America is right now. Plus that's had a huge flow on effect to the rest of the world. That whole deregulation and globalisation push during that time lead to the 2008 GFC. A lot of what's going on right now has origins back in the 90s, 80s, & 70s and most of it goes back even further.

@notrombones5041 Lets also NOT FORGET that he took a $4.5 million dollar pre-payment for a book deal with Harper Collins which is owned by News Corp and controlled by Rupert Murdoch. That was the deal that lead to his resignation. Then there's the fact that while going after Clinton for Monica Lewinsky he was having an affair as well. Newt Gingrich is a pure SHlT of a human being. In fact its hard to use the word human with respect to him.

@Terra_Lopez Way too easy these days we are forget what some of the mutts did back in their days. That Harper Collins book deal was so bad even other GOP people abandoned him. It was so blatant that it made news around the World. I don't know how old you are or if you remember it but the whole Clinton-Lewinsky scandal was a 24/7 media frenzy AND then suddenly there was the book deal. What we didn't know about for 20+ years was the Newt was also having an affair with a much younger woman. Anyone who thinks the Murdoch's didn't know about that is a fool. There really is no limit to their hypocrisy.

@Terra_Lopez Yeah, Yeah, Yeah and Yeah. Newt Gingrich is one of the greatest hypocrites in history. He represents everything that's wrong with politics and organised religion. There are plenty of people who can do 1 or the other, but good old Newt can do both AND do it with a multimillion dollar sized slab of of outright corruption easier than you can put 1000 island on a side salad.
