  1. Just for different take. Are any of you aware how big of a deal this is for the rest of the world and particularly ANY country that has significant trade and security arrangements with America. FYI - I'm Australian but went to college in America. I did engineering but a bunch of my friends were pre-law and they liked discussing the Constitution with me. I'd studied Orwell (Animal Farm & 1984) in high school and argued that ANY country could fall into an authoritarian nightmare if it wasn't careful. *They always argued that it was impossible for that to happen in America because of the "checks and balances". As an engineer I'd call them "safety functions." What we NEVER discussed was the possibility of someone (like Mitch McConnell and the Federalist Society) set about corrupting one of the main safety function, like SCOTUS. This is like pulling the wrong tile out of a Jenga stack. it might not bring it all down buts its making the system UNSTABLE. Yes we all know this is more important to the American people, but its also very concerning to others as well because how do we deal with an unstable America. What if somebody like Lauren Boebert or Marjorie Taylor Green is Trumps next running mate? They might end up with control of nuclear weapons. That's NOT a joke that's a damn scary possibility.

  3.  @moonlightfishin4113  Are you seriously asking how has SCOTUS been corrupted? Do you have any idea who or what the Federalist Society is, why they were set up or who funds it? Do you know they scuttled a nomination (Harriet Meirs) by George W Bush? How about the refusal of Mitch McConnell to give Merrick Garland his hearing AND THEN BREAKING HIS OWN RULE to get Amy Barrett installed. Do you know that 15 of last 19 SCOTUS judges came from Harvard or Yale where the Federalist Society was formed? SCOTUS judges are NOT being nominated by Presidents they are being chosen by an organisation that was set up to FORCE on the nation THEIR ideology. THAT'S CORRUPTION.
