That's a great sentiment but unfortunately this subject (like others) has been flipped into a "tribalized political" discussion where the facts both pro & con are no longer valid. Think about how many kids actually need these treatments. Its a tiny group of kids. Why is there so much public discussion on it?. What does it ACTUALLY matter to Tucker Carlson if there's that 1 kid in 1,000 or 10,000 or 100,000 who needs some form of special care? It no longer has anything to do with medical care, preventative or otherwise. Its just a stick for the tribes to beat their drums with. I'm an engineer and we have exactly the same problem with energy. The whole energy crisis is what it is because of the tribalism that dominates public discussions. Engineers have been trying to warn people about what would happen, but the moment anyone tries to have any sensible discussion the tribes start beating their drums and screaming at the world. Both my parents were high school teachers and the same has happened in education. Anytime someone tries to talk about anything sensible in education the tribes start beating their drums and screaming at the world. Look at the CRT issue and how something that has never been formally taught in any high school anywhere on the planet became a hysterical screaming shitfest. So long as the Tucker Carlson's of the world are handed the microphone and allowed to set things on fire we won't be able to solve anything.
