@ajasen Yeah some of them can because their state laws allow it and some can't because their state laws don't. There actually wasn't a decision made in Michigan. The Michigan SC didn't even hear the arguments they simply dismissed the case on the grounds that the Michigan SecState BY STATE LAW has to accept onto the ballot for a primary whoever the party says to put on the ballot. Glenn Kirschner explained this really well. He said if the Dems in Michigan want they can put Barrack Obama's name on the PRIMARY ballot irrespective that he's ineligible to be POTUS for a 3rd term. THIS IS BECAUSE ITS A PRIMARY and NOT an actual election for office. The law is different in Colorado which is why there was an actual decision on if Trump can be on the primary ballot.

@DarkPuppy9 AND SO WE ARE CLEAR I happen to think the US Constitution is one of the greatest achievements in human history. Thanks to all those discussions I had with friends when I was in college in America I got a very good appreciation of it. Its a far better constitution that the patched together mess Australia has that includes all sorts of crap inherited from the British. Despite the flaws Americans should be grateful for what they have instead of thinking its a club to bash each other with.

I'm Australian and you just pointed out one of the major issues facing EVERY Modern Liberal democracy. The election of DISRUPTORS who get elected because people have lost faith in the establishment parties. The establishment parties are failing EVERYWHERE because they just don't get anything done. They have policies for everything and PLANS for NOTHING. People are simply exhausted and they do impulsive things like elect Trump or they do Brexit. When Trump labelled them the "Do Nothing Democrats" he wasn't wrong, BUT THE SAME CAN BE SAID of every major political party in the world right now INCLUDING the GOP. Both sides of Australian politics suck. All they do is argue, debate, point fingers and harp on and on about this policy and that policy but in the end NOTHING HAPPENS. The rich get richer and the rest of us pay for it and if we complain too much they start another war to thin out the herd while making even more money. The REAL PROBLEM is the interference of BIG MONEY through their Lobbyists and their sponsored Think Tanks who write all these BULLSHlT reports that are specifically written to promote something. The problem is when people protest against this at the ballot box its a coin toss if they vote for someone with a functioning brain or a brainless clown like Marjorie Taylor Greene.
