Its not so much capitalism BUT THE VERSION of capitalism we are now running that's the problem. Like the extreme versions of socialism and communism that various countries tried in the last century they promised great outcomes for all but delivered to only a few at the top. If you go back through history at all the other "isms" people claimed would be great they delivered for only a few and ended up destroying themselves. Capitalism is no different. If you go and watch people like Mark Blyth he'll tell you there's been at least 3 main versions of capitalism and the first 2 failed for various reasons and the 3rd is now failing for reasons like what you are talking about. The more important discussion that needs to be held is WHAT COMES NEXT and there's not many people even discussing that concept.

@TheRedStateBlue WHERE TF do you come up with BULLSHlT like "communism is easier to exploit that capitalism." There is NOTHING in the historical record to actually claim that any economic system is easier to exploit than another because there's also the political system and that's far more influential on exploitation than the economics. There's plenty of examples to show that uneducated people are easier to exploit or that people who are systematically disadvantaged are easier to exploit or that corrupt systems are easier to exploit or combinations of those and similar things. You have to remember that America the country that was founded on FREEDOM and RIGHTS built most of its early wealth from SLAVERY and then from EXPLOITATION by the Robber Barons and lets also NOT FORGET the outright theft of land from the native populations which was justified by a whole genre of propaganda out of Hollywood called "the Westerns" that had them labelled as sub-human savages. If there's anymore idiotic nonsense you'd like to add to the conversation PLEASE DON'T. There's no need to prove you're more ignorant than you already have.
