You have to remember the fundamental tenement of Libertarianism. "I demand the liberty to strip other people of their liberty." Libertarians are always crying and howling about their rights while they demand other people lose their rights and freedoms. When Elon, like a typical Libertarian, says he's about protecting free speech he's talking about protecting HIS free speech, NOT anyone else's and proves it by kicking people off his "free speech platform" for saying things he doesn't like.

@furiousapplesack That's a good summary. In one of the discussion recently someone pointed out an alternative WHY Trump does what he does in a lot of his statements. Rather than his brain has gone, they suggested that he's deliberately "triggering the left" to waste time. During the 2020 election Obama said the GOP had 3 policies - "lower taxes, spend on the military and trigger the libs." I'm actually Australian and our political right do EXACTLY the same thing. They just keep throwing things into the public arena that just get everyone else wasting time. Their favorite topics include (just like they do everywhere else) immigration, crime, taxes. They'll always give it with a drop of reality like a statistic that indicates something so that it has to be discussed. Their current favorite is nuclear energy and Australia (like others) needs to have a SENSIBLE public discussion on nuclear but the way they have thrown it into public discussion means its just a shouting and screaming shitfest. So I think a lot of this is just "trigger the left" and waste everyone's time refuting their nonsense.
