About 15 years ago during one of clashes where the IDF went into Gaza and smashed an entire neighborhood there was a middle aged woman with her children standing there looking at the devastation. She turned to the cameraman/journalist and asked him "Do you wonder why our children are asking us how they can become suicide bombers?" NOTHING can excuse what Hamas did with murdering innocent people, but I am wondering how many of those Hamas fighters were children who houses were bombed in previous IDF raids. When you trap over 2 million people in a small space and give them no hope of a future it can't end well.

@StuntpilootStef There's nothing funny about it. There's too many who would say "NO" and not enough who would say "YES and we need to fix this." Back when he was doing the Daily Show Jon Stewart interviewed King Abdullah of Jordan. It was an amazing interview to see a head of sate interviewed on a parody news show which shows just how bad the media has been for a long time. There were "Peace Talks" on the Israeli-Palestinian issue going on at the time and Abdullah warned that if they didn't solve the problem AT THAT TIME (I think it was 2012) then it we'd have to wait an entire generation before another opportunity like it would happen again. He basically said that if they didn't solve it them we'd have 20+ years of the same chaos or even worse. What's more Abdullah also said fixing the Israeli-Palestinian issue would defuse most of the Middle East because it would take away the soap box that so many preached from.

@RichardLewisCaldwell Not certain which way your going with that but there's no doubt the Hamas murderers (and they are murderers in every context) have to be held accountable, BUT at the same time we need to HONESTLY ask why they ended up the twisted monsters that they became. I'm an engineer and there's 2 BASIC ways to handle an engineering problem. You can patch it up, replace what's broken and hope it doesn't fail again OR you can work out why it failed and fix the problem in a way it doesn't happen again. One way is relatively easy and straight forward. The other is generally harder because it takes and effort. It also requires HONESTY to admit there is a problem and that we need HONESTLY review what's happened. In engineering we call it lessons learned. You'd be amazed how often people don't like it and how willing they are to hide or leave out important information. Think Boeing Max-8 and you'll understand what I mean.
