I would add 2 words to the end of that "and preferences" Look at his argument on tax relief for home loans. He's ok with tax relief on home loans but not college. That's a preference nothing more. He's not judging it against what has the best outcomes for society- its just a preference. This is what makes libertarians so childish at times. At the end of it all it comes down to what they want without any real consideration of what others need.

@sandyunderpants4376 All true to more or less extent but its still a matter of preference. This is my main fault with Libertarians they have there preferences and NEVER consider consequences. Thom Hartman recently read a list of "wants" from the American Libertarians and one of those was for the abolishment of the FAA. I'm an aerospace engineer with a pilots license and that's insanity for insane people. Has nobody learnt from the Boeing Max-8 fiasco. If they got their way no foreign airline or person would buy another American airplane and no country would allow an American Airline to fly into their airspace. I'm sorry but Libertarians are just selfish clowns. After you strip away their rhetoric it comes down narcissism. They want what they want and don't give a damn what it costs anyone else short term or long term. The only difference between Libertarians and 2 year olds is that 2 year olds grow up.

@robinsss Well if you don't know what Neil Gorsuch is up to and don't know his background them maybe you should shut up and start listening and realise just how far the Libertarians are taking their nonsense. Gorsuch's mother was a Libertarian appointed by Ronald Reagan to dismantle the EPA until she got thrown out for being ridiculous. Gorsuch has been looking for payback ever since. Most recently he made rulings that make the EPA's job almost impossible. AND BACKING IT are people like Charles Koch the oil billionaire who's brother ran against Reagan as a potential VP on the Libertarian ticket for the RNC nomination. At the time he openly said Reagan was weak on Libertarian principles as wasn't taking the dismantling of government agencies far enough. These people really do want to dismantle the US Federal Government and go back to the robber baron era. Its a 21st century version of feudalism where the warlord is replaced with a corporation.
