FINALLY SOMEONE has the guts to call out Matt Taibbi's hypocrisy. Taibbi's always presented himself as an incorruptible independent journalist and NOW he's the mouthpiece for a billionaire.

@gabebabe1 I don't think ANYONE here is questioning if Matt Taibbi's stories about what was going on at Twitter are accurate or not. What they are questioning is who he's working for NOW and if he is compromised. And that is a fair thing to question. Most of the people in these sorts of threads on social media pages like this one question the integrity of media people at MSNBC, CNN, Fox, NYT, WaPo and other main stream "billionaire owned" outlets all the time. Before buying twitter Elon Musk was a "billionaire industrialist" who was very good at handling the media and promoting his businesses. Now he is the billionaire owner of one of the biggest media platforms in history and right now Matt Taibbi is the main voice for a narrative being pushed by a billionaire. That means his integrity is questionable.

@tsargardpeaches DlCK-HED Taibbi was CHOSEN by a billionaire for the same reasons GOP billionaires use Fox and Dems billionaires use CNN & MSNBC. It doesn't matter someone is asking you to eat a bullshite sandwich or a horseshite sandwich they are still asking you to eat a shite sandwich and like it.

@tsargardpeaches WHAT FACTS am I or lots of other people ignoring? Is it a fact that Matt Taibbi is now working for a billionaire? Is it a fact that Elon Musk is pushing a political narrative at the moment? Is it a fact that they are releasing all this information piece by piece? Sure DlCK-HED, which one of us is ignoring facts and which one of us is howling at the sky?

@tsargardpeaches EVERY SIDE and FLAVOR of politics has always been pro-censorship of things they don't like and anti-censorship of things they want heard. That's been going on for 1000s of years. If you strip away all the BULLSHlT then there's not much new in politics since the 1st King put a crown on his head. Its about taking power and then keeping hold of it. Public information has always been about getting people onside to your cause with NEW information (not honest, truthful or anything else, just new) and then keeping them onside by controlling what they hear. Its called narrative and whoever controls it has power. Its what made America such a different nation to every other in history. For the very first time a nation was free to speak and for the last 220+ years the rich and powerful have been trying to find ways to get around it and take back control of the public narrative.
