Pretty much sums up 335,236,943 people who live in a fantasy land called the United States of America. It especially applies to EVERY YouTuber, journalist, TV presenter, celebrity, Tik Tokker and wannabe star on the planet. I actually watched the Triggernometary interview with Sam Harris and that part of it made him sound like the one rational voice in America because for a change he was putting PERSPECTIVE onto the subject. How does Dave Rubin and the other Hunter Biden ranter compare whatever Hunter might have done with the fact Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump worked IN THE WHITEHOUSE and made a reported $400 million while they were they.

And on your point of people just attacking people for not being on their side the Triggernometry guys just interviewed a guy named Andrew Doyle who's written a book "The New Puritans" on that subject. I don;t know if the book is worth buying but the interview was worth the time. As for Sam's comment at the start about Sam Harris, "I think this guy so appreciates the sound of his own voice that he says things without really thinking about them a lot of times or without contemplating the implications of them." I'd recommend that Sam Seder and every other political commentator on YouTuber have a look in the mirror on that subject.

@alexanderwestphal9777 Taking that further Sam Harris has spoken against other religious ideologies for similar reasons. I think before Sam Seder says anything like that again he should look in the mirror first and ask how much he likes the sound of his own voice and believes how brilliant his own opinions are.

@Junebug89 Yeah but that doesn't mean Seder doesn't make an ass out of himself on a regular basis. I know his fans wont like that but they ALL make asses of themselves at times. The better ones just do it less often. the clowns like Rubin do it so regularly you wonder if its on purpose. I can't say I agree with Sam Harris on a lot of things, but for Seder to take the cheap shot he's taken is unwarranted and leaves him open to the same claim.

@leahsander5490 Clearly your a fan of Seder. I'm not but am neutral. I click on him at times to hear what he and his team have to say. I'm not a fan of Harris either and find him to be a bit of a smug prick at times, btu I can say the same of many others these days and would expect some to say that of me. Another person poitned out his view on torture so I googled "sam harris torture" and got a link straight to ho 2006 essay "In defense of torture" AND READ IT. Its a confronting essay that does NOT simply say yes to torture but actually condemns it by pointing out the incredible hypocrisy of warfare. Halfway through it he condemns what happened at Abu Ghraib and other places. What he's actually doing is making people face an ugly reality and think about it. We condemn torture but tacitly support bombing innocent men, women and children and blowing them to bits. Is Sam Harris a smug prick? YES, but so is Sam Seder.

@ordohereticus3427 Go watch the recent Triggernometry interview with Andrew Doyle. He's just written a book on that subject of people madly labelling others as hard as they can. I don't know if the book is any good but the interview was worth the time. He has a great story about the time he was labelled a Right Wing Homophobe. In response to something he said.

AND that's before we consider they did it from inside the Whitehouse. What Harris is saying is that Hunter Biden is like a small pebble in your shoe. I actually watched that episode of Triggernometry and it was really good, especially the part about Hunter Biden because Sam Harris was willing to put perspective on it. He was simple and straight forward, whatever Hunter Biden might have done it simply doesn't compare to what the Trumps were getting up to. Hunter Biden never worked in the Whitehouse like Jared and Ivanka did. Hunter might have made $3-4million on some questionable deals but Jared & Ivanka made a reported $400 million. That was Sam Harris's point was. Hunter Biden is an irrelevant amateur compared to the Trumps. Its like demanding to be treated for an itch and ignoring the person having a heart attack.

NOBODY on either the Dems side or GOP side did anything close to treason. Forget whatever the dictionary definition of treason is, or whatever any other country might have, in America Treason is limited to times of war. And you are only guilty if you then aid the enemy of America in that war. Plenty of legal people with actual law degrees explained that numerous times over the past few years. America has very narrow definitions of both treason and sedition because the British versions were able to be easily applied. It was so bad before the Revolution that if a British officer commanded a civilian to do something and they said "NO" they could be imprisoned for sedition and if the civilian took it far enough they could be hanged for treason. America's Founding Fathers gave that stuff a giant middle finger, gave both very narrow definitions and how some people have worked out they can get away with shite.
