But then he's just one of a growing crowd of this type of media presenter. Way back in 2004 there was a documentary called Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism. It was highly critical of the Murdoch method of presenting OPINION as FACT rather than "here is what we can see" or "this is what we have been told." Towards the end of it there's a warning of how Murdoch's method was being adopted by other organisations as was slowly dragging the entire media system down a dangerous path to where actual facts would simply be replaced with opinion. Tucker Carlson has now been fired from yet another media organisation (ironically a Murdoch org) for telling more lies and making stuff up as he's done his entire career. He does it because it NEVER HAS ANY REAL CONSEQUENCES because there's always people willing to pay him money to keep saying the nonsense he says.

@taranullius9221 Couldn't have said that better. Although I generally point out that WE WARNED the Brits about what Rupert was like when he moved there and they didn't listen. THEN we warned the Americans what he was like and pointed out what he'd done here in Oz and then in Britain. AND the YANKS DIDN'T LISTEN EITHER. One of the odd things for me about Outfoxed is that one of the leads Robert McChesney became a professor at the same university I went to - University of Illinois. Unfortunately he started there after I graduated and long before he helped make Outfoxed. If your wondering he's the guy who explains the scene from the Godfather Part 2.

@Terrible_Peril Which "he" Tucker of PBD? If you saw Tucker's piece with Putin or at least parts of it he might have a major problem. His lawyers and Fox's lawyers claimed again and again IN COURT that he WAS NOT a journalist but an entertainer and as such his opinions were protected under the 1st Amendment. He claims at the start of that Putin video TO BE A JOURNALIST. That might mean that either he or his lawyers lied in court. Either way all the people who lost in court because of that "he's an entertainer" might now have a right to appeal that. PLUS (and I'd love to see this happen) Tuckers lawyers could (or should) face disciplinary actions in front of the respective Bar because they made a false and misleading claim in court. They specifically claimed he was NOT a journalist which Tucker now claims he is and implied he's been a journalist for some time. Realistically nothing is likely to happen other than in future if Fox, Oan, NewsMax and others try and make the same claim it NOW has a counter argument.

@Terrible_Peril Yeah I know what you mean. Tucker's a cartoon character, but unlike cartoon characters there's real world consequences with what he does. I sadly expect that somebody is going to take a very serious swipe at him before too long and that person is going to spend time in jail for doing what a lot of people might think Tucker deserves. Remember when that guy confronted him and called him a liar in a mini-mart a couple of years ago. That but more serious.
