There's a major psychological problem with those born before during and just after the Second World War. They were born into chaos and forced to re-build the world. They see the baby boomers as spoiled brats who got everything without earning it. They see Gen-X as not having any understanding of what they had to do so they can't trust them either. So they have always felt that they could NOT trust the next generation with what they re-built. This is why people like Warren Buffet, Charlie Munger, Rupert Murdoch and many others kept on running their companies instead of moving on and letting others run them. This is why certain people like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, the Clintons and many others CAN'T LET GO, can't shut up and just go away. They see anyone under 70years of age as incapable of running anything. TRUMP is just as bad and maybe worse. Do you really think he trusts Junior or Eric to manage anything?
